Bush Family Linked to Bin Laden Family
Emperor's Clothes | Submitted by: Soylent
This is from a really sketchy source but they quote the Wall Street Journal.
Business interests in the Bush family are linked to the Bin Laden family via the
Carlyle Group, an aerospace/banking conglomerate. "President Bush does not
have a relationship with the bin Laden family," says Ms. Becker.
"He's met them twice."

City of Cologne sporting Driveup Brothels
Reuters | Submitted by: Soylent
Too many hookers near Köln Cathedral, this is the city's answer. [It is
actually a wonder that prostitution is still illegal in most parts of the world,
the only civilized solution is regulated hookery.]

More Anthrax
Associated Press | Submitted by: Soylent
Zero cases of Anthrax in the last 25 years, and then two in a matter of

diagnosed properly and we're just more anthrax-aware right now. Or it could
be that something sinister is afoot.

CNN Bogarting Al Jazeera Coverage
Hollywood Reporter | Submitted by: Soylent
Qatari Al Jazeera Television has the best and most vibrant coverage
of all Arab stations, since for whatever reasons the tiny state of Qatar does
not try to censor its media as much as the other states. CNN has tried to
impose a 6 hour embargo on any footage from the station, but all of the major
networks are ignoring the ridiculous order.

Idiocy of Current and Future Money Law
Reason | Submitted by: Soylent
"Shortly after I opened a checking account at a Washington, D.C. branch of
First Union roughly three years ago, it was frozen by the corporate office
because I fit a 'criminal profile.' I'd opened an account by phone and
deposited 'large' sums of money in it in a high crime area. The large amount of
money was two checks that totaled less than $4,000 and were drawn on First
Union accounts. The high crime area was 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue,
which is almost yelling distance from the White House's West Wing."
