China paid Bin Laden to see U.S. cruise missiles
Guardian | Submitted by: Soylent
After a U.S. attack on Afghanistan in August 1998 left up to 40 U.S.
Tomahawk cruise missiles unexploded, China funnelled $10M to Osama bin Laden's
organization to acquire an example of one. China is denying the claims.
[Since 75 missiles were fired, the number of 40 unexploded seems dubious.]

if funds were found to match that number. At this time "nearly all"
of the money has been raised.

for the FCC. Of course, these don't really have anything to do with
prevention of terrorism.

The Coming Mess in Central Asia
Asia Times | Submitted by: Soylent
"The whole crisis is not indigenous", he says, "It was provoked by the
Russians and then the Americans. The Afghans are fundamentally a peaceful
people. Bin Laden is an outsider. He was brought and pumped by America.

created this situation artificially."
