Melbourne Herald Sun | Submitted by: Fuck Reid Fleming !!
"A severed head of a newborn baby was found in a parking lot of a company office in central Japan today, police said. 'The head was not cut with a knife. Parents allegedly murder newborn
New York Post | Submitted by: Travis Bickle
"A 13-year-old girl and her 15-year-old boyfriend yesterday revealed in a grisly confession to cops the sickening events that led to the death of their newborn boy, whose body was found in a 'Happy Birthday' gift bag outside a Bronx church. The young mom said she gave birth in her second-floor bedroom Friday but panicked when the baby started to cry, sources said. She then cracked open the bedroom window and threw the infant into an alley, where he remained for more than 10 hours in the cold... The horrific death of the day-old boy was being treated as a homicide by cops after an autopsy revealed that the child's head was fractured and his leg broken."

The severely injured boy was given anti-retroviral treatment... Nobody knew about the alleged pattern of sexual abuse until a nurse at the school reported to the district authorities that a six-year-old mute boy had been brutally sodomised by two boys last month. It was alleged that the perpetrators were schoolmates of the boy."

"Thailand is to make live internet broadcasts of prisoners' last moments before execution in a bid to deter lawbreakers. Cameras have already been installed at Bangkwang maximum security prison near Bangkok where nearly 1,000 inmates are facing death. Nathee Chitsawang, corrections chief, said: 'The Internet will show how we treat the convicts in their last minutes, including the preparation process. But at the time of execution, the viewer will be allowed to see only part of the process.'"

Marine copkiller unlikely candidate for PTS disorder
San Francisco Chronicle | Submitted by: Reid Fleming
"The Marine who fatally shot a Ceres police officer and wounded another last week was a Norteno gang member who was high on cocaine at the time and carrying a gangsta rap CD about killing, police said. Investigators now are discounting the theory that Lance Cpl. Andres Raya, 19, may have been suffering from post-traumatic stress and instigated a 'suicide by cop' - provoking officers to shoot him - because he did not want to return to Iraq... [According to Deputy Jason Woodman:] 'During our investigation, we found he wasn't due to go back to Iraq, never faced combat situations and never even fired his gun.' Raya shot and killed Ceres police Sgt. Howard 'Howie' Stevenson and wounded Officer Sam Ryno with a semiautomatic rifle outside a Ceres liquor store Sunday night before police returned fire and killed him... Raya had reportedly bragged to fellow Marines that he had bought the SKS assault rifle because its bullets could pierce police body armor, and that one of his 'boys' was holding it for him, police said."

"Former Oakland Raiders center Barret Robbins was arrested Monday after being shot over the weekend during a struggle with a police officer investigating a burglary at a South Beach office building. Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandez said prosecutors are expected to file formal charges of battery on an officer and trespassing against the former All-Pro, who is best known for disappearing the night before the 2003 Super Bowl... Robbins, 31, was shot several times in the torso during a 'violent struggle' with a Miami Beach detective Saturday night, Hernandez said. Robbins was confronted in a second-floor office in a building that also houses a nightclub, gym and jewelry store... In 2003, Robbins spent Super Bowl Sunday in a hospital and later acknowledged that he had stopped taking his medicine for depression and bipolar disorder."

Pregnant woman allegedly took meth
Casper Star-Tribune | Submitted by: samson
"A felony child endangerment charge that has been filed against a woman who allegedly used methamphetamine while she was pregnant is apparently the first application of a state law that went into effect last summer... The law makes it a crime to 'knowingly and willfully cause or permit any child to... absorb, inhale or otherwise ingest any amount of methamphetamine.' However, the bill did not offer a definition of 'child.' A pre-existing definition in the same article defines a child, for the purposes of a different section, as a person under 16, but no definition of 'person' is offered. The charge has been filed against Michele Ann Foust, 31. After she gave birth Oct. 31, Lander police received a tip that Foust had used meth during her pregnancy, according to deputy county prosecutor Marsha Bean. 'Blood tests of the defendant and her child both came back positive,' said Bean."

"A Long Island pimp named Romeo who forced two 'young and vulnerable' runaway teenage girls into prostitution, beat them and took all the money they earned turning tricks has been sentenced to up to six years in prison, prosecutors said. The pimp, Woodolph Romeo, 25, lured the 13- and 14-year-old girls into his prostitution business, repeatedly sexually attacked them and forced them to have sex with scores of male customers... Man fails to notice nail in brain
CNN | Submitted by: KrisAbyss
"A dentist found the source of the toothache Patrick Lawler was complaining about on the roof of his mouth - a four-inch nail the construction worker had unknowingly embedded in his skull six days earlier. A nail gun backfired on Lawler, 23, on January 6 while working in Breckenridge, a ski resort town in the central Colorado mountains. The tool sent a nail into a piece of wood nearby, but Lawler didn't realize a second nail had shot through his mouth, said his sister, Lisa Metcalse. Following the accident, Lawler had what he thought was a minor toothache and blurry vision. On Wednesday, after painkillers and ice didn't ease the pain, he went to a dental office... The nail had plunged 1 1/2 inches into his brain, barely missing his right eye, Metcalse said."

Eels possibly killed by dogshit
Brisbane Courier-Mail | Submitted by: Reid Fleming
"Dog poo is being blamed for E. coli in Melbourne's waterway, the Yarra River. The Victorian Government, which has come under fire for the dirty state of the river after 100 eels were found dead, said more people needed to be aware that not picking up after their dog could be contributing to the problem. 'There can be up to 90 tonnes of dog poo that's washed down into the river system and then into the bay, and that's the principal cause of E. coli into the river,' Environment Minister John Thwaites said today."

Irony kills seatbelt law opponent
Lincoln Journal Star | Submitted by: ringo
"[Derek Kieper], a 21-year-old senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, died early Tuesday morning when the Ford Explorer he was a passenger in travelled off an icy section of Interstate 80 and rolled several times in a ditch. Kieper, who was riding in the back seat of the Explorer, was ejected from the vehicle... Derek, who was thrown from the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt... In a column written for the Daily Nebraskan in September, Derek attacked seat belt laws as intrusions on individual liberties and expensive to enforce. 'It is my choice what type of safety precautions I take,' he wrote. 'There seems to be a die-hard group of non-wearers out there who simply do not wish to buckle up no matter what the government does. I belong to this group.'"
